Travel Agents for Echoes Events

All Travel Agents working on behalf of Echoes Events act as travel agents only. We sell various travel related products on behalf of numerous transports, accommodation and other wholesale service providers, such as airlines, coach, rail and cruise line operators. The Travel Agents obligation is to make travel bookings on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and the travel service providers. We have no responsibility for these services nor do we make or give any warranty or representation regarding their standard. All bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by these service providers. Your legal recourse is against the specific provider and not the Travel Agents. If for any reason, any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted your remedy lies against the provider and not with the Travel Agent.

It is important that you and all members of the traveling party are aware of the following terms & conditions as they may relate all or in part to the bookings held by our office on your behalf.

All reservations made will be booked under the terms & conditions laid down by the airlines and tour wholesalers. Please pay particular attention to the clauses covering amendments and cancellations as detailed in their brochure and/or on their website.

Liability

We do not accept any liability of whatever nature, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control. Under circumstances where liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the value of the purchased travel arrangements. We do not accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part.

Deposit & payments

A nominated deposit is required per person at the time of booking any tours. Please ensure you have read & fully understand the conditions of cancellation as detailed below. At time of booking, you will be provided with a booking form which you will be required to complete and return to the Travel Agent within 7 days of booking.

Final payment of your tour cost is due at the Travel Agents by no later than 45 days prior to your tour departure.

It is highly recommended that you purchase Travel insurance at time of deposit to ensure you are covered for unforeseen cancellation.

Accommodations are classified by using government ratings, where available. In addition, rooms are assigned upon arrival at your accommodation based on current availability and may vary in size, amenities and location.

Changes

Any changes made to your tour arrangements once you have received confirmation and the tour deposit has been paid, will incur a change fee of $250.00 per person per change. All changes are subject to availability at time of change.

Due to limited coach capacity, this single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30"X18"X10" and weight not exceeding 60 lbs. (27 kg). An additional charge will be made per travelling day if a second piece of baggage is carried, or if the suitcase exceeds the established weight and/or dimensions. Airfares & Other Travel Services

The Travel Agents can service all your travel needs in conjunction with the tour such as airfares, pre &/or post tour accommodation/tour arrangements, car hire, rail travel, travel insurance and foreign exchange.

It is important to note that all travel arrangement prices, once quoted, are subject to availability at time of booking and are subject to change without notice. Prices are not guaranteed until full payment is received.

Payment Options

All prices are based on payment by cash or cheque. Cheques will not be accepted for travel within 7 working days of travel.

Credit card surcharges may apply when paying by credit card. If you intend to pay by credit card to obtain reward points it is essential that we are informed at the time of booking what type of credit card you wish to use so that we can ensure that the airline or tour wholesaler accepts this type of card as form of payment.

If for any reason any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against that provider, and not against the Travel Agent. In the event that payment has been made to the Travel Agent by credit card, and the Travel Agent has passed on the payment to the travel service provider you agree that you will not seek to charge back your payment to the Travel Agent.

We will require the signature of the cardholder that is authorizing charges to their credit card. We will not accept credit card details over the phone for payment. If you cannot pay by credit card in person, we will require a completed credit card authorization form. Your travel consultant can provide you with this form. Reference is also made to the section that advises that credit card details may also be passed on to the airline or tour wholesaler to process the charge.

Passports

Passports are required for all international travel. Australian Passports must have a minimum of 6 months validity from the date of scheduled return to Australia and for entry into some countries (USA) must be a “machine readable passport”. Any Australian Passport issued in the past 8 years should be a “machine readable passport” if this is not the case then you may need to apply for a new passport to undertake this journey. Please immediately check your current passport .

Travel documents and airline tickets must exactly match the name and spelling as appears in your passport/passports. Additionally, for security reasons some airlines may require all details as they appear in the passport prior to ticketing. Please ensure that you advise your consultant of the correct details at the time of booking. We will need to sight your passport before any documents can be released and we will not be liable for any incorrect information given to us nor for any re-issue fees imposed by the airline or tour wholesaler should re-issue of documentation be required.

If traveling on any passport other than Australian you must inform us immediately as it may be necessary to obtain a re-entry visa into Australia or visae for other countries and if you have a previous criminal record could be denied entry into your country of destination.

Whilst we offer full assistance it is the responsibility of each traveler to ensure that they have full and correct documentation to undertake their journey.

Visa Requirements

Visa requirements vary for each destination country, and it is the obligation of the Traveler to ensure that all visa requirements are satisfied. The issuance of visae is not the responsibility of your travel agent and we cannot be held responsible should you be unable to obtain the correct visae to undertake your journey.

Australian Passport holders require a visa to enter some countries. Some countries allow for a “visa free” stay for tourism purposes. If you are traveling on business this does not always apply. Also, if you or members of your traveling party have a recorded criminal offence entry may be denied. Please speak with the relevant consulate of the country you are visiting, prior to departure for further information.

Some consulates charge visa fees and we reserve the right to charge a service fee to cover courier fees and the like should we obtain this documentation on your behalf.

Deportation for non-issuance or incorrect visa is at the traveler’s expense. Although many countries have visa free entry for tourists for specified lengths of stay, entry to that country is still a port of entry decision.

If you plan to undertake independent travel whilst in Europe or elsewhere our consultants are more than happy to check the itinerary and the various countries you may visit and advise what visa are required.

Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade Warnings

For reasons of political unrest, acts of war or terrorism or natural disasters in certain parts of the world, the Australian Government in conjunction with various other worldwide bodies may decide to issue a Government Advisory warning to Australian passport holders not to travel to that country. In these instances, whilst travel to some countries is not advisable and some clauses of the travel insurance coverage may not be effective, we appreciate that some clients may still need to travel to those areas. Whilst we are prepared to make these bookings on our clients’ behalf we do so without responsibility or liability.

Should you wish to check with the Department of Foreign Affairs their web address is: http://www.dfat.gov.au. There is also another service provided to Australian travelers where you are able to register your personal details i.e. passport numbers, contact details in Australia and the countries you will be visiting. These details are automatically passed on to the relevant Embassies of the countries you will be visiting. Simply register via the website: http://www.orao.dfat.gov.au to utilize this service, and for consulate warning http://www.smartraveller.gov.au.

Your local doctor may not have access to the most recent World Health Organization notices.
